Internet Filtering Policy

Adopted on 11/21/02

All HTTP (WEB) Internet access provided via MVECA will be subject to a base

level of filtering.  The base level of filtering that MVECA provides will include, but

not be limited to, the PORNOGRAPHY, ILLEGAL, GAMBLING, and SEX

categories.  Additional categories may be added to the base filter group at the

discretion of the MVECA Governing Board.

Exceptions to this policy may be granted to districts that provide proof of district level

filtering for all district computers accessing the Internet.  Such proof must be

submitted annually in writing and be signed by the district Superintendent.
