Converting 20/20 Files to Microsoft Excel

 

Things to Remember

 

Macros will NOT transfer

Some Functions may not transfer

 

  1. Open the 20/20 worksheet youo want to convert
  2. Press / Store, Export, External, select 2 (1-2-3)v2). Press Everything. Type in file name, press Return. Select the range, press Return.
  3. Exit 20/20
  4. Go to setup Menu, pull down to File Transfer... under Protocol: select Kermit, under format select Image click OK
  5. Go to File menu pull down to Save.
  6. Type Menu
  7. Type Kermit
  8. Type Send File Name (use the File name you gave the file in step 2) .WK1, press Return
  9. Go to File menu (at top of page) Pull down to Receive File (Kermit)
  10. Type File Name, Click Save.
  11. The file will now transfer.
  12. Go to Setup menu, pull down to display, under Scolling: select Jump, Click OK.
  13. Type exit, press Return.
  14. Open Excel, go to File menu (at top of page), pull down to Open, change type of file to All Types, select file you just transferred.
  15. The file will open into Excel

 

Things that may happen.

 

  1. Gridline turn off. (go to to tools menu, pull down to option, select view, click on gridlines.)
  2. Text imports into Excel in Blue. Highlight text, go to Font Color Button, select color you desire).
